ACT NUDIST CLUB BY LAWS Club Operation:

The club shall not, as a club, hold political religious or racial views and shall not attempt in ay way whatsoever to influence members in these regards.

All applications for membership shall be considered on individual merit, with the committee directed to ensure an acceptable distribution of males and females.

Members and their guests are reminded that the club is a nudist club, not a clothes optional resort. Nudism should be practiced whenever practicable, particularly within the pool area. The observance of this rule will ensure a congenial environment.

The full name of all membership applicants will be notified in the club newsletter. Members should be aware that if they object to membership by any applicant, they may appeal to the committee under Rule 5(f) of the Constitution.

Members and applicants should note that joining and membership fees are reviewed annually.

Any visitor of an ANF approved club shall be welcome at any club activity upon presentation of a current ANF/INF membership card.

Financial Members may bring visitors to the club and functions, providing they advise a committee member in attendance. Members are wholly responsible for their visitors’ behaviour and costs. Visitors must leave the club grounds at the same time as their host member.

After two (2) visits to the club, or other Club functions within a financial year the visitor will be expected to apply to join the club in the usual manner.

Probationary members are not entitled to bring visitors to the club during their probationary period unless by prior arrangement with a committee member.

The gender ratio of males to females will be no more than 60% male to 40% female with the club committee having the opportunity to vary this ratio in exceptional circumstances. This will only occur in situations such as; a single ANF card holding member transferring from another ANF affiliated club. In this instance the applicant will still need to meet the clubs probationary membership requirements. Conduct: Under Rule 33 of the constitution, the Committee has power to suspend or expel any member who is guilty of conduct detrimental to the club or who has wilfully contravened the Bylaws of the club in force at that time.

Members are expected to show consideration for and courtesy to other members, particularly with regard to matters affecting cordial relationships. Nuisance activities, such as excessive drinking, excessive noise, swearing or wilful disobedience of children may cause the offender or the family to be subject to suspension or other disciplinary action.

Alcohol is permissible at club functions and on the club site, but drunkenness will be deemed a nuisance and offenders may be excluded until sober. Club Grounds:

Members are to follow instruction on the use of the club grounds as may be signposted from time to time by the committee.

An Adult must supervise children’s activities at all times. Parents are responsible at all times for the safety and welfare of their children.

Dogs must be on a lead at all times while on club grounds, with owners accepting full responsibility. Pets are not allowed in the clubhouse, pool enclosure, the amenities block, or club owned accommodation.

No glass items to be taken into the pool enclosure at any time.

Each member or guest will be responsible for cleaning and removing their own garbage (food scraps, bottles, cans, cigarette butts etc) by taking it with them when they leave, as the club has no garbage collection facilities. No garbage is to be left in the clubhouse bins.

No firearms, slingshots, or any dangerous weapons are allowed on club grounds.

Photography is only permitted after advising and obtaining the subject’s consent. The “Form of Release” available from the club, should be signed and furnished prior to any photos being taken, or for publication.

No permanent structures are to be erected privately on club grounds.

Any campsite developments are to be approved by a tribunal consisting of the President, the Lands Officer and a Committee member. The tribunal will have full authority from the committee for ensuring that lessees maintain their sites and developments adequately. Committee: Any person nominating for a position on the committee must be a financial member and willing to use full names. Newsletter: The club newsletter is an official source of news and information about the club. Copies are provided to all financial members, who are encouraged to submit material. Except in cases of individual members who may wish their names withheld, full names may be used at the discretion of the editor.
